Thank you all so much for your prayers and donations. We are almost there! Today we were humbled by the doors God has opened to push our adoption of our daughter through so quickly. Just this week Russia has voted to ban adoptions to Americans. There are still a few votes needed to make it official, but in the meantime, adoptions are on hold in most regions. Had we not made it to court last week, we may never have been able to adopt our little girl. We ask for continued prayer support as we still need to get her out of the country. Legally, she is ours and they should not be able to reverse that decision, but this Russia we are talking about and they just don't play fair.
My dad and I are traveling on January 13th to get her. The government will be taking a long holiday break and should not get anything else accomplished until mid January. We pray that this will give us enough time to get her out of the country. Please also pray for the rest of the finances to be provided quickly to pay for this last trip.
Also, pray for all the sweet babies left in Russia that need homes and for the many families still in the process of their adoptions. It is a very sad day for so many.
